MATCHDAY EQUIPMENT
Ensure you have all the equipment required before leaving for your fixture.

Two suitable match balls (ensure the correct size)
-
Up to date team sheet.
-
A fully stocked first aid kit.
-
Referee fee (where applicable).
-
Bibs or an alternative kit in case of a colour clash.
-
Goalkeeper kit that clearly distinguishes them from outfield players.
-
Corner flags.
-
Goals with correctly fitted nets.
-
Respect barriers set up for spectators.
-
Access to Full-Time to input result
Top Tip
Check all equipment before matchday and arrive early to ensure everything is set up and ready before kick-off.
PITCH SET UP
Ensure your pitch is correctly marked and safe for play.

Lines clearly visible and correct for the age group.
-
Pitch free from hazards
-
Referee to inspect the pitch before kick-off where appointed.

Respect barrier in place
-
Two technical areas set up, one for each team.
-
Maximum of three coaches per technical area.
-
Parents and spectators should not stand in technical areas.
-
Goals securely anchored and nets fitted correctly.
-
Corner flags in place where required.
-
First aid equipment readily available.
-
Allow sufficient time before kick-off to complete all checks and setup.
PLAYER KIT
All players should be correctly equipped before taking part in a match.

Players must wear the club's registered playing kit.
-
Goalkeepers must wear a shirt that clearly distinguishes them from both teams and the referee.

Shin pads are mandatory and must be fully covered by socks.
-
Football boots must be suitable for the playing surface and safe to use.

Jewellery must not be worn.
-
Any casts, supports or protective equipment must be approved by the referee before play.
Top Tip

Check kit colours with the opposition before matchday to avoid unnecessary delays.
MERCY RULE
The Mercy Rule applies to all Under 7 to Under 11 age groups and is designed to support player development and enjoyment.

Once a team leads by 9 goals, the match result is confirmed.
-
The official result is recorded as a 9-goal difference.
-
The referee and both managers should discuss how the remaining game time is managed.
-
The game may end immediately.
-
The game may continue as a development friendly.
-
Players may be rotated into different positions.
-
Teams may agree other suitable development-based solutions.
-
Any further play does not affect the official result.
-
The welfare and enjoyment of players is the priority.

Use the Mercy Rule positively to create a better experience for all players while maintaining the spirit of the game.
REPORTING RESULTS
Results and team sheets should be completed accurately and submitted promptly after every match.

Both teams must enter their match result on Full-Time.
-
Team sheets, including substitutes, must be completed.
-
Results should be submitted within the required timescales.
-
Check all information is correct before submitting.
-
Press the Update button before moving between sections.
-
Ensure all changes are saved before leaving Full-Time.
-
Match officials should be recorded where applicable.
-
Any disciplinary incidents should be reported through the appropriate FA process.

Contact the League if you experience issues.
Top Tip

Submit your result and team sheet as soon as possible after the match to avoid missed deadlines and potential fines.
MATCH POSTPONEMENTS
If a match cannot be played due to weather/pitch conditions or other exceptional circumstances, please follow our postponement procedure..

Notify the opposition and League as early as possible.
-
Weather related postponements must be supported by a referee inspection.
-
Consider reversing the fixture if an alternative venue is available.
-
Take photographs to support unplayable pitch decisions.
-
Agree a new fixture date with the opposition within 7 days and submit the details to the League.
-
Fixtures postponed due to a lack of players will result in a walkover, fines and additional sanctions.
-
Repeat offences may lead to increased fines.
-

Top Tip
-
A shortage of players is not considered a valid reason for postponement. Communicate early to avoid sanctions.
